To minimize any damage and protect your financial security, it is essential to act right away if you have concerns about probable PAN card abuse. Follow these procedures to check and take action if you believe your PAN card has been abused:

Review your financial accounts frequently:Check your bank and credit card statements, as well as any other financial activities, for any unauthorized or unusual activity. Look for transactions that you are unfamiliar with or that you did not start.

Keep an eye on your credit report:Obtain a copy of your credit report from a credit agency (like CIBIL) and check it to see whether your PAN card is connected to any unauthorized accounts or credit applications. Report any errors you discover right away to the credit bureau.

Inquire with your bank or other financial institution:Inform your bank or financial institution right once if you come across any fraudulent or questionable transactions. They may assist you with account security, blocking any unauthorized access, and problem investigation.

File a police report: Contact your local police station if you have strong proof of PAN card abuse, such as fraudulent financial transactions, identity theft, or unauthorized access. Give them all the necessary information and supporting records.
