<p>On a country road in Sardinia, Italy, on Wednesday, Gayatri Joshi and her husband Vikas Oberoi barely avoided being involved in a collision with a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, and a camper van. Two elderly couple were killed in the collision. The incident was captured on a now-viral video. <p>The Chairman and MD of Oberoi Realty was also operating a vehicle when the terrible accident occurred, and the State Department in Italy has opened a formal inquiry into the incident. A technical expert is already on the case as part of the inquiry and will be going through all the information to figure out what caused the deadly collision. The official announcement from Oberoi Reality states, “Our chairman and managing director Mr. Vikas Oberoi and his wife Mrs. Gayatri Oberoi have met with accident in Sardinia, Italy on October 2, 2023. By God’s mercy, they are both unharmed and have safely arrived back in Mumbai.</p>
<p>The ‘double road murder’ is also anticipated to be examined by the Cagliari prosecutors in Sardinia, according to another report by the Daily Mail. Vikas Oberoi might be sentenced to 7 years in solitary confinement if proven guilty.</p>
<p>According to many media sources, the camper van overturned as two cars—a red Ferrari and a blue Lamborghini—attempted to pass it at the same moment. According to a report by the Free Press Journal, the elderly Swiss couple inside the Ferrari, Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67, tragically perished in the ensuing fire.</p>
<p>Gayatri told the newspaper that the information about her accident was true. She continued by stating that both she and her spouse were “absolutely fine”. I’m in Italy with Vikas. Here, we had a mishap… We are both doing well, by God’s grace,” she told the site.</p>
