To establish a film city, a Goa entertainment organization looks for 250 acres of land

<p>According to an ESG representative, the idea to establish the film city is in the early stages, and they are searching for a location in the state.</p>
<p>The chief executive officer of the ESG requested the property from private parties for the purpose in an advertising published in local media on Wednesday.</p>
<p>“The Goa State Government aims to establish an infrastructure for the film and entertainment industry, i.e. a Film City, via the Entertainment Society of Goa. Approximately 250 acres are needed, according to the posting.</p>
<p>According to the entertainment organization, anybody with a space of 250 acres and a legal title is welcome to contact the OSD to ESG.</p>
<p>ESG is the government-run organization that organizes the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa each year. Additionally, it is the nodal organization for all state approvals for movie shoots.</p>
<p>The idea to establish the film city is in its first stages, according to Rohit Kadam, Officer on Special Duty for the ESG, who responded to a request for comment. “Once it is correctly constructed, we can share further information. We are now searching for a place somewhere in Goa,” he added.</p>
<p>According to accounts, Manohar Parrikar, a former chief minister, was responsible for introducing the idea of a “film city.”</p>
<p>A source said that “everything is at the conceptual stage right now,” adding that the first step is the purchase of land.</p>
