<p>The HCL Group has acquired a share in Educational Initiatives (Ei), a provider of educational software, for a total of Rs 166 crore. This pertains to the selling of secondary stakes.</p>

<p>Established in 2001, Ei provides customized adaptive learning solutions and evaluations supported by research to educational institutions. Aside from India, it is available in the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Singapore, with more than a million paying subscribers. It also intends to grow much more.</p>
<p>According to Pranav Kothari, CEO of Ei, “we have proven our ability to improve learning outcomes and empower school teachers to achieve their intent of every child learning well regardless of their parent income.”</p>
